Double Wardrobes
Our double wardrobes give you useful bedroom storage without taking up the space of a larger triple wardrobe or four door wardrobe. Choose from full-hanging wardrobes, layouts with shelves, and designs with built-in drawers for folded clothes, shoes and accessories.
The range includes 2 door wardrobes and sliding configurations, with oak double wardrobes, wooden designs, painted finishes and oak-effect options available. You’ll also find selected mirrored designs if you want to add a reflective front to your room.
Our bedroom sets bring coordinating wardrobes, chests of drawers and bedside tables together if you’re furnishing more of the room. Free UK mainland delivery and returns are available, with finance on qualifying orders.

Double Wardrobe Sizes for Different Bedrooms
Double wardrobes vary considerably in size, giving you options for both more compact bedrooms and rooms with a wider stretch of wall space. Our hinged designs include narrower models around 60–80cm wide, alongside larger options around 90–110cm+, while sliding double wardrobes can extend to 120cm, 150cm, 180cm and 200cm+ depending on the design.
Height varies too, with options suited to lower ceilings as well as tall double wardrobes that give you more hanging and shelf space without increasing the footprint as much.
A smaller double wardrobe can work well where floor space is limited, while a wide double wardrobe gives you more room to separate hanging clothes, folded items and accessories where wall space allows.
2 Door Double Wardrobes, Full Hanging and Drawer Storage
Our 2 door wardrobes come with a wide choice of internal layouts, so you can prioritise hanging space, folded storage or a combination of both. Full-hanging double wardrobes give you uninterrupted rail space for shirts, dresses, coats and longer garments, while other designs add shelves for knitwear, shoes and accessories.
If you prefer built-in storage, the range includes double wardrobes with one, two or three drawers, alongside combination designs that bring hanging space and drawers together in one piece. Gents wardrobes offer another layout, typically combining a shorter hanging section with drawers or shelving for folded clothing.
You’ll also find selected mirrored designs and sliding door wardrobes where you want storage without hinged doors opening into the room.
Oak, Wooden and Painted Double Wardrobes
Our oak double wardrobes include natural, rustic and warmer oak tones, with visible grain bringing extra character to the bedroom. You’ll also find wooden double wardrobes in other finishes, including pine, alongside designs with an oak-effect finish where you want the look of oak in a different construction.
Painted double wardrobes give you more choice again, with white, grey, black and softer neutral finishes available across the range. Some designs combine painted surfaces with contrasting wood tones, while others use panelled fronts, darker handles or mirrored doors for added detail.
Materials and construction vary between designs, so check the individual product specification if you want a particular timber or finish.
Frequently asked questions
How wide is a double wardrobe?
There is no single standard width for a double wardrobe. Our hinged designs include more compact options around 60–80cm wide as well as larger designs around 90–110cm+, while sliding configurations can be considerably wider. Check the dimensions on each product page to find the best fit for your space.
Are all double wardrobes 2 door wardrobes?
No. Our range includes traditional 2 door wardrobes as well as sliding door configurations. Dimensions and internal storage also vary between designs, so it is worth comparing the full product specification before choosing.
Are oakworld double wardrobes solid oak?
Materials vary between designs. Our range includes oak double wardrobes alongside oak-effect, painted and other wooden options, so check the product specification for the exact materials and construction.
Do double wardrobes arrive assembled?
Selected double wardrobes arrive assembled, while others require assembly at home. The individual product page confirms the assembly requirements before you order.
What bedroom furniture can I pair with a double wardrobe?
A chest of drawers gives you extra space for folded clothing, while bedside tables provide smaller storage close to hand. You can also add a dressing table or blanket box depending on what you need to store, while our bedroom sets bring coordinating pieces together.
