Is a Super King Bed Right for Your Bedroom?
A super king size bed is the biggest standard bed you can buy in the UK, measuring 180 x 200cm, or about 6ft by 6ft 6in. This is around 30cm wider than a king size bed and 45cm wider than a standard double.
Super king beds work best in bigger bedrooms because of their extra width. Leave about 60–70cm of space on each side so you can move around easily and reach drawers or an ottoman base. Measure the whole frame, not just the mattress, and check your doorways and stairs if space is tight.
